San Jose, Calif., August 28, 2005 – Liquid Mountain, the recently introduced water and snow board rider clothing company, is pleased to have been a contributing sponsor of the 7th Annual Maui North Shore Paddle. Surfrider Foundation's Maui Chapter received all of the proceeds from this year's paddle held on August 28 th along Maui's north shoreline.

Mountain founders David and Kerri Jaye joined the 85 competitors and hundreds
of spectators and enjoyed the sunshine and light winds of the perfect paddle
day. The 2005 North Shore Paddle was divided into three divisions of paddlers:
Surfboard, which paddled 2.2 miles from Ho'okipa Beach Park to Paia Bay; Paddleboard, which competitors paddled from Ho'okipa to Maliko Gulch then
down to Paia Bay; and Stand-up which paddled from Ho'okipa to Paia Bay.
Chip Pela and Matt Brown came in first and second respectively in the surfboard 36-49 age group and Paige Alms took the win in the surfboard women's open. Kiva Rivers and John Gangini were the first and second place finishers in the men's paddle while Tehani Gangini took first in the women's paddleboard event. Scott Trudon finished first in the stand-up paddle division.
